Caleb Chui

Research Assistant, Survey Development & Analysis Caleb is a La Trobe Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Hospitality) graduate and a current Honours student at the University of Queensland, completing his thesis on Visitor Information Centres.  A Canadian national, Caleb has worked for Tourism Vancouver and Vancouver Aquarium before completing his studies in Australia and is now based in Brisbane, Queensland.

Laura McGrath

Destination & Digital Marketing, Social Media and EDM Laura is a Destination Marketing Officer with ten years experience, including City of Newcastle and Southern Queensland Country Tourism in Toowoomba and holds a Bachelor of Business – Tourism Management and Marketing from the University of Southern Queensland. Laura loves tennis and country Australia and supports the content creation for the digital and social media including the Outback Queensland Masters One Million Dollar Hole-In-One.

Sally Bird

Destination Marketing, Digital and Social Media Sally holds of Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management from the University of Queensland and is a media and content creation with a passion for food, tourism and events.  She has been a Marketing Coordinator for the Outback Queensland Tourism Association (OQTA) for over 4 years and worked at the Brisbane Visitor Information Centre.  During her time in Outback Queensland  Sally was a radio presenter on 4LG and wrote weekly columns for the Longreach Leader. During her time with the OQTA she supported the promotion of tourism and events, from the Outback Queensland

Amanda Kruse

Reuben Lawrence

Economic Impact Assessments & Projections Reuben holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Queensland with nearly 20 years experience in consulting to and advising government and corporate clients across a wide scope of projects and industries, including tourism and events. He has partnered with Krista Hauritz Tourism & Events providing tourism and event economic impact assessments for individual events, towns and regions, including current and projected impacts.

Teresa Brodie

Strategy Support, Benchmarking, Volunteers & Submission Writing Teresa Brodie specialises in project support with benchmarking and research for numerous Tourism, Visitor Economy and Event Strategies and Business Plans.  Teresa writes and develops Tourism Award submissions which have resulted in Australian and Queensland Tourism Awards in both the Major Event, Festivals and Events, Deluxe Accommodation and Visitor Services categories. Teresa has experience in developing risk management and volunteer recruitment and management policies for clients including Byron Shire Council, Flash Camp and the Outback Festival. Teresa has experience in project management and specialises in strategic research, benchmarking and auditing for the development

Monique Krause

Monique Krause specialises in tourism and event marketing, content creation and Media PR. Monique works with clients such as Granite Belt Wine County, Sunset Way Tourist Drive, Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Festival, Boulia Camel Races, Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races and Miles Back to the Bush Festival. Monique has worked in the industry for over 15 years and held industry positions such as Destination Marketing Coordinator for Toowoomba & Golden West Tourism and Tourism Manager for Parks Shire Council including development of the Parks Elvis Presley Festival.

Krista Hauritz

Hi, my name is Krista. I have a love of country, a passion for regional Australia and a weakness for travel having worked in the tourism industry for some 25 years. My career included senior roles in regional tourism organisations, local and state government and private enterprise. I established Krista Hauritz Tourism + Marketing + Events in 2011. Tourism is my career and hobby. I have had the privilege of developing and marketing a number of projects that have been the recipients of North Queensland and Queensland Tourism Awards. These include the Australian-Italian Festival, Hinchinbrook Visitor Centre and Destination Promotion for Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.
